The Roots to Retire from Touring, Join Late Night Show

The Roots will take a break from their non-stop touring schedule beginning next March. The band will be trading in its tour bus to join comedian Jimmy Fallon’s new late night talk show as his full-time house band.

Roots’ frontman ?uestlove broke the news during an interview at the group’s show in Chicago last week. A YouTube video with the announcement has since been pulled off the Internet.

Fallon’s show replaces Conan O’Brien’s “Late Night” on NBC next year, while Conan takes over for Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show.”

?uestlove’s Nike Air Questo

Yeeea Son Philly’s on the Map, and yet again it’s those 52nd and Market boys the Roots Crew putting us there. With enough ill releases this year to make Weezy look like he’s out of the loop Nike has teamed up with the man under the fro none other than ?uestlove himself to develop the Nike Air Questo. The Air Force 1 low top has just dropped in an earthquake green bottom and red sole edition which is part of a package with a gold and red shoe. The original prices are upwards of 500 dollars but the boxes are numbered and signed as they are all limited edition kicks. We all know how you Illadelph cats love your kicks and these do not disappoint, NikeTalk has been all over these for a minute now and It’s great to finally see them out. There’s a pretty cool interview a Nike.Com between Andre ” I got robbed at the dunk contest” Iguadla and ?uest about the design process for the shoe, which love had a lot to do with. It’s good to see the Roots finally get theirs. Keep your eyes peeled around the city for these jawns.
